    Department

    The Dutch Sales team is part of the Global Sales Marketing team which focusses on Institutional and Wholesale clients. The Robeco Sales NL department is responsible for relationship management and sales efforts with our Dutch clients.

    Our primary target groups are pensions funds, major banks and insurance companies, independent asset managers etc.Our primarily focus is to respond, with our product, services, solutions, and joint marketing activity offerings, to the desires and ambitions of our clients.

    Position & Requirements

    Sales Strategy


    • Support relationship managers and senior sales managers in their account management and sales activities
    • Work independently with clients on more repetitive account management tasks such as reporting calls.

    Business Development & Cross Selling

    • Support the relationship manager with gathering and compiling materials required for business development (eg pitch books (Seismic), follow-up on client queries, research papers, product materials). Organize and follow-up 1: 1 client meetings, Robeco events, industry events, webinars etc.

    • Gather peer information helping the relationship manager to differentiate Robeco product offering from close competitors (eg public websites, industry databases eg Morningstar, SP&MI materials)


    • Assist the relationship managers in requesting and responding to (simple) RFI/RFP locally or (more complex) in cooperation with the RFP team (RFP requests, Pricing Committee requests)

    • Support relationship managers to capture and keep up to date in CRM systems: clients, prospects, consultants, other involved parties, contact persons, activities, opportunities, assets at risk and account plans.

    • Assist relationship managers to qualify marketing leads and do list management for distribution of sales and marketing materials and event invitations via CRM (CRM, Client Touch Point dashboards)


    • Compile provided marketing materials and distribute them to clients & prospects (mailings, social media)

    On/offboarding clients (including contractual fee/service changes)


    • Assist the relationship manager in starting onboarding via Onboarding Request to Global Onboarding (tailored services contract) or COO CS Funds (fund contract). Track progress and funding; inform RM-er.


    • Act as point of contact for other teams and liaise with them for on/offboarding input/progress; if needed liaise with clients/involved parties or escalate to RM-er.

    Client management


    • Support the relationship manager to prepare for client meetings (ad hoc or periodic review) by gathering and preparing relevant materials (eg performance overviews, client reports, status of change requests etc.)


    • Support relationship managers in all aspects of day-to-day client management by preparing answers to client queries, refer basic operational questions to other Client Service teams within Robeco, liaise with other Client Service teams within Robeco on client complaints and requests for service/fee changes. Coordinate on behalf of the relationship managers, if needed contact the client/involved parties and if needed escalate to a RM-er or Business Operations manager


    • Prepare standardized mailing packages to clients (factsheets, PMUs other products updates) or refer clients to self-service options

    Other


    • Check periodically if client assets, flows and revenues are booked as expected in the AuM database


    • Participate in/do projects to improve processes, IT tooling, data quality, implement new legislation

    Qualifications:

    Seeking a highly motivated candidate with 3+ years of professional experience with proven success in supporting business development and sales strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the asset management space with a desire to help drive business expansion and revenue growth for Robeco in the Dutch Market. Individuals with Dutch fluency will be a strong preference.

    A well-recognized financial education is desired.
