- Perform and report mechanical simulations related to product and technology development projects
- Develop and maintain simulation methodologies and processes to enable first-time-right of Wärtsilä products and to reduce time to market
- Problem-solving related to structural strength
- To perform data analyses for simulation and measurement data
- To propose and initiate any training activities aiming at maintaining or improving the personal technical knowledge and skills
- Focus on the following component areas: Thrusters, Waterjets, Controllable Pitch Propellers
- Eventually lead the Structural Analysis team
- BSc, MSc or PhD in Engineering
- Solid background (5-10 years of experience) on structural analysis with FEM tools (pressure, nature loads, lifting, eigen modes, response analysis, fatigue, vibration etc.)
- You are able to provide proposals and solutions, not only numbers
- Communication skills in English
- Ability to work in an international organisation
- Positive, proactive attitude and ability to learn
