    Robeco's Global Legal Affairs department has this position at our main office in Rotterdam. There are 13 colleagues in the Rotterdam team, divided into three sub-teams. Plus, some colleagues are based in our Hong Kong and Zurich offices. The team is fully integrated and works as one global legal department.

    The team provides guidance on a wide range of legal issues, such as client onboarding and servicing, investment and product development activities, corporate and strategic projects, as well as regulatory changes and their implications for the organization.

    The team advises on various legal matters, such as signing up and supporting clients, developing investments and products, corporate and strategic projects, and regulatory changes and how they affect the organization.

    Position & Requirements

    It is essential for Robeco to follow the relevant laws and regulations. The rules for the asset management industry are changing fast, especially in relation to sustainability and ESG. We seek to hire a driven regulatory counsel to join our regulatory affairs & fund legal support team with a focus on sustainable finance.

  • Monitoring regulatory developments and assessing their implications for our products, services and organization.
  • Supporting other departments to understand and adapt to new rules
  • Managing relationships with relevant regulatory authorities
  • Representing Robeco in meetings with relevant industry bodies.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience as a legal counsel preferably at a financial institution, a supervisory authority, ministry or a law firm.
  • a Master's degree in Law from a University in the European Union or the United Kingdom.
  • affinity with the relevant European regulations for asset managers, such as MiFID, AIFMD, UCITS and the Sustainable Finance Framework.
  • a solid understanding of European Union Law. Expertise with-, or knowledge of, environmental law is a pre.
  • a team player that knows how to accommodate internal stakeholders and to find solutions. Combined with a well-developed sense for legal risks and you know when to step in to protect.
