About the role
We are looking for a passionate and agile R&D intern to join our Hydrocolloids team. In the Hydrocolloids Team, you will focus on starch functionality and optimization in plant-based cheese matrices. Starch plays a significant role in the texture, stability, and performance of food products.

A comprehensive understanding of chemical compositions, structures, and functional properties of starch is crucial for proper utilization of this important ingredient to develop high-quality products.

The aim of this internship is to map a range of starches at different rheological conditions. You will use the obtained results to link this starch functionality to the plant-based cheese structure, texture and performance. The created starch map could then be used to better navigate product design.


So, what does it take to be successful in this role?

  • You are a master's student in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a similar field
  • You have critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Preferably, you have prior experience with rheology and/or starches
