    PURPOSE:

    In the GLBOPS Special Projects team, we solve complex problems in operations and develop solutions that support continuous improvements with a lean mindset. Solutions that develop into products need to be managed as mature products and need proper business product ownership.

    The FLOW Execution Business Products Owner in GLBOPS will govern the roadmap, resources and activities for implementation, adoption, maintenance and improvements of processes and applications related to FLOW in Operations.

    The work scope includes but is not limited to the following: APMT's Digital Pull Operating System (DPOS) and the components of the Flow Execution System (FES), including the APMT FES components and third party applications (like T-ONE from TICO). Scope also includes identification of APMT's Flow operations complex problems to be solved, aiming at a leaner and more efficient operations.

    The FLOW execution applications support the use of Lean principles in terminal operations, including the standardization of processes, the Just-In-Time (JIT) principles of Pull and Takt Time, and the Jidoka principles to visualise progress and deviations (Andon).

    The tangible success measures of the FLOW terminals will be achieving more (vol.) with same (resources), or same (vol) with less (resources), this will be monitored once FLOW is in place for the said terminals.

    Flow as the operation concept is supported by many moving parts (TWI, Lean, AD, Wi-Fi Infrastructure, TOS, CDH, FES, DPOS, Gate Systems...) some of those have intricate inter-dependencies.

    As Business Products Owner , you will focus on the following:

  • Play a key role in coordinating the internal positioning of the application, collecting the needs of internal customers, evaluating alternatives, developing the product strategy with product delivery (and/or supplier), and setting the strategic direction of the product(s) throughout its lifecycle.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, such as Operations, Tech, Automation, Procurement and Way of Working, to understand their needs and requirements for the application(s) and the value proposition. This leads to a clear vision and positioning of the product, looking at synergies with other products and alignment with the needs of the stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and support the functions with the product's business case, development roadmap and deployment plan, aligned with the overall strategic goals of the company.
  • Deliver the roadmap, resources and activities for implementation, training and adoption of processes and applications related to the FLOW execution products.
  • Evaluate, compare and prioritize alternative solutions, make data-driven decisions about the product's development and direction, and provide inputs for the internal development and the vendor management strategy that aligns with the product's goals and objectives.
  • Ascertain that the development- and deployment teams and the (prospective) user community have a holistic understanding of the product's value proposition.
  • Maintain the product requirement quality and documentations and manage change control.
  • Define and communicate product acceptance criteria, work with deployment and terminal operation team on defining the new needs and requirements, ensure those are included in product deliverable in integrated manner.
  • Define jointly with stakeholders on post launch enhancement and support structure.
  • Accountable for E2E, enabling integrated solutions, defining cross product requirements and delivering seamlessness rollout experience
  • Identify and prioritize with key stakeholders, the global solutions to be developed to support the Flow deployment at all terminals

    • CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Solid understanding of the application of Lean principles in terminal operations and ability to link them with APMT's Business System (Way of Working) practices, such as Standardization, Value Stream Mapping, Pull, Takt time, Andon, Daily management, SQDC, Problem solving and Kaizen)
  • Strong background, with minimum 5 years of multi-discipline experience within terminal operations
  • Holistic thinking – understanding the whole before individual details
  • Strong ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to influence and drive change
  • Ability to facilitate and support solving complex problems
  • Self-motivator, who is comfortable working remotely
  • Established network of relevant contacts, experts, business and institutes to leverage for the job
  • Experience with developing and implementing transformation programs or projects
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to deliver high-quality and structured options and steering for resolution/decision, impeccable business judgment
  • Ability to handle risks and uncertainties. Flexibility in adapting when priorities change. Comfort with challenging the status quo and motivation to lead change
  • Strong prioritization abilities and can-do mindset; Ability to balance short term deliverables and long-term business objectives
  • Have impeccable stakeholder management skills – proven ability to handle ambiguity, ensuring cross-functional and cross-company alignment, resolve conflicts, work collaboratively with internal and partner contacts and influence cross-functional teams
