    About this role:

    The Inbound and Outbound Planning Team Leader/supervisor, will be responsible for leading a team dedicated to coordinating the pickup of cargos from airports and arranging trucks for outbound shipments after clearance completion in our warehouse.

    This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    1.Planning and Coordination:

    • Lead and manage a team of inbound and outbound planning specialists to ensure efficient coordination of cargo pickups and outbound shipments.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize inbound and outbound logistics operations, including scheduling, routing, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate with ground handler, warehouse staff , customs department to ensure timely clearance and transfer of cargos.

    2.Performance Monitoring and Analysis:

    • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as truck usage turnover, loading rate, on-time delivery.
    • Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics and insights to management.

    3.Carrier Management:

    • Identify and select appropriate carriers and transportation modes based on shipment characteristics, cost considerations, and service requirements.
    • Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements with carriers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
    • Monitor carrier performance and address any issues or concerns to ensure adherence to service level agreements.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and technologies to continuously improve logistics processes and stay competitive in the market.

    4.Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor a team of planning and coordination staff, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing team.
    • Set clear performance expectations, objectives, and targets for team members and monitor progress towards goals.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in logistics operations, with a focus on inbound and outbound planning and coordination. Experience with air cargo and ground handlers is a strong plus.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external.
    • Proficiency in logistics software and tools for scheduling, routing, and tracking shipments.
    • Fluently in English, Ducth or other language is a plus.

    Working frame: 2 shifts (06:00–15:00 / 15:00–24:00), 5 days out of 7.
