Purpose

Reponsible for the operational supply planning of the crop/crop group, ensuring customer service levels are met and leading to implementation of the global supply plan.

Key accountabilities

Preparation of the supply plan for the short-term horizon, together with and under guidance of the Tactical Supply Planner. Monitoring of the supply plan, identification of gaps and prioritization of the supply of the various primaries (products) and ensure actions are performed and followed up. Proactively signalling and solving issues related to short-term seed availability and delivery for crop/crop group and communication with relevant departments (among others with the Production Specialists and Production Planners). Participation in preparation, pre-alignment and delivery of the Operational Seed Supply Review.
Collaboration with the Production Planner and Specialists to define production priorities and to review sowing and harvest status, to review expected yield and quality levels and to review expected delivery dates.
Follow up with the Detailed Scheduler on high prioritity deliveries/processing and test jobs. Signalling of mid to long-term supply issues to the Tactical Supply Planners. Signalling of shortages on specific batch requirements and aligning with Replenishment Planner on further actions.
Preparation of ad-hoc test requests ('jobs') for internal and external quality tests, analysis of samples via a fixed protocol.
Execution of batch quality evaluation and monitoring: Evaluation of batch quality levels and assigning quality codes based on test results, matching expected inventory with demand, identification of possible deviations/gaps, and alignment of mitigation plans with Sales. Ensure all actions and analysis iare aligned with the Batch Allocation Specialist.
Management of physical seed inventory in relation to quality and virtual warehouse positions at batch level. Management of the re-germination tests. Management of the actual total inventory in (virtual) warehouse, also including changes in phyto regulation or quality standards.
On request of the Batch Allocation Specialist, validation and completion of batch allocation (result of the Rule Based Batch Allocation in the planning system in the Detailed Scheduling solution). Before the detailed scheduling solution is life, assigning batches to Replenishment Plan in the ERP system.
