As a part of ASML's embedded software department, you will provide the software solutions that realize sub-system functions. In close co-operation with colleagues from software and other disciplines (e.g. electronics) you are a member of a multi-disciplinary project team. Your solutions emerge from sound software engineering practice and take low effort to develop and maintain.
The specific subfunction you are working in is a machines based diagnostic function, monitoring and visualizing a status overview of individual safety related components in the machine. This subfunction also enables a smooth diagnose of machine issues.
In this role you will be responsible to translate functional requirements to software solutions, under supervision of the overarching software architect. Together with the software team and stakeholders you seek for the most optimal solutions. You closely interact with colleagues from other disciplines, in particular electronics, steer and guide the software implementation and support the creation of roadmaps and long term plans.
You will specify and design software solutions, within the limits of system specifications, costs and project planning.
You will closely cooperate with other disciplines and suppliers to ensure the timely realization of competitive, achievable and serviceable products.
Education
Bachelor or Master with an education in Computer Science, Informatics, Embedded Systems, Electronics or equivalent experience.
Experience
Decent background in software engineering of large-scale embedded software applications, strong affinity with networking protocols and PLCs is preferred.
Proficient in translating functional requirements, to software requirements, to software solutions, and leading the implementation
Experience in C, C++, Python, UML, networking protocols like SNMP

Strong communications skills
As a jr. software architect you need to organize and plan your work for timely achievement of the product and project goals.
