MS Amlin Marine N.V. is seeking a Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Rotterdam. As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in aligning business processes with technology solutions to optimize our insurance operations using our industry-specific application.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for our marine insurance business processes.

2. Utilize Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation, ensuring transparency and efficiency.

3. Analyze and assess the current workflow, identifying areas for improvement and optimization within our maritime-focused application.

4. Work closely with the in-house development team to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories tailored for the maritime industry.

5. Assist in the development of new features, enhancements, and system integrations within our proprietary maritime application.

6. Conduct regular reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure solutions meet the unique needs of the maritime sector.

7. Perform data analysis to support decision-making and provide insights into business performance within the maritime industry.

8. Participate in user acceptance testing and coordinate user training sessions, ensuring the application aligns with maritime industry requirements.

9. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks or issues within the maritime context.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within the insurance or financial industry, with a focus on the maritime sector.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, both written and verbal.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.

Knowledge of Agile and project management methodologies.

Familiarity with marine insurance or a similar industry is a plus.
