Event Structure:

Instruction: Thirty-two (32) hours of instructional contact, comprised of sixteen (16) hours of one-on-one instruction in classroom facility Tuesday-Friday 08:00-12:00 and 16 hours (16) hours one-on-one "mobile" language classes Tuesday-Friday 13:00-17:00, during which the trainee will actively use the language with the instructor in interpretive exercises. The "mobile" sight and sound, on-the-go lessons support the learning-style of the student and reinforce the instructional material presented

• Schedule summary: Tuesday-Friday 08:0017:00 oneonone language instruction (12:0013:00 lunchbreak);
• In Test and Out Test covering material included in the curriculum will be administered to measure trainee learning gains results will be provided to the Government
• Homework and quizzes will be assigned, recorded, and results presented to the Government

Morning hours, 08:00-12:00, one-on-one language instruction in classroom setting at provider-arranged facility, with an environment conducive to learning

Afternoon hours,13:00-17:00, one-on-one training itinerary will consist of instructor-led visit to local sites within walking or biking distance of the classroom.

  Objectives & Focus:Language training objective is for the trainee to carry on rudimentary conversation in area of immediate need and to exchange courtesies.

Listening and speaking exercises should emphasize:
- understanding and producing basic courtesies: greeting and parting ways; introductions; apologizing; expressing congratulations, pleasure, condolences; etc.
- meeting basic survival needs: asking for help, asking for / understanding simple route instructions to common places (e.g., base, lodging, restaurant, train station, bathroom); understanding orders from officials; understanding and expressing time; describing things and situations in simple terms (e.g., big small, tall, short, colors, cost).
