    Shift Engineer - Medewerker Technische Dienst

    The PESTANA HOTEL GROUP is the largest Portuguese hotel chain present in the tourism sector. Our hotels are operating in more than 16 countries with a global team of 7,000 professionals.

    Pestana Amsterdam Riverside has 154 modern and historical rooms, a spa with one of the largest indoor swimming pools of Amsterdam, a well-equipped gym and 10 meeting rooms where we host events up to 200 people. At last, but not least, our beautiful restaurant and bar Archive where guests enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This hotel might be your new or next luxury home in Amsterdam

    What will you be doing:

    • Ensures the operation of technical facilities works properly in the hotel, in collaboration with the Head of Technical Services.
    • Performs minor renovation work.
    • Performs repair work in hotel rooms and will ensure guest privacy at all times.
    • Prevents or resolves malfunctions of technical facilities.
    • Follows preventive maintenance plan.
    • Follows water hygiene (pool) procedures.
    • Respects and follows all procedures related to legionella.
    • Apply the hotel safety regulations (in case of fire etc.).
    • Actively contribute to the safety of guests and their property (release of emergency exits, etc.)

    Job Requirements:

    • Experience in the Hotel industry is a pre.
    • Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
    • Someone who can work individually as well as in a team.
    • Flexible and a hands-on mentality.
    • Problem solver with an "I can do" mentality.
    • Enthusiastic and positive.
    • Have knowledge and experience with computers/software/systems is very welcome.
