About Toxys

Toxys is a Dutch biotech company that develops innovative in vitro solutions for safety testing of novel pharmaceutical compounds, chemicals, cosmetics, and food ingredients.

Toxys developed ToxTracker, a unique stem cell-based reporter assay for early identification of genetic toxicity.

With this assay, we can identify the hazardous properties of compounds with a high accuracy and in addition provide insight into the underlying mechanisms of toxicity.

The ToxTracker assay is offered as a service and as product kits.

We always aim to closely collaborate with our customers to provide them with the necessary safety information to make decisions on which compounds to progress in the pipeline, thereby contributing to the development of better medicines and products without the use of animals.

We are looking for a technician who will perform contract research for our clients using our unique ToxTracker assay as well as other cell-based toxicity tests.

You are experienced in (stem) cell culture and preferably have experience with flow cytometry and high content microscopy.

As you work on customer projects, we expect you to be well organized, work precisely and driven to deliver high quality results.

You are able to plan and execute experiments in cooperation with the (senior) scientists and other (senior) technicians.


Your motivation letter and CV should show that you have:

• A BSc or MSc degree in life sciences, biochemistry or related field.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience; Industry experience is a plus.
• Handson experience with standard cell culture methods, flow cytometry and microscopy.
• Experience with molecular biology methods is a plus.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Proactive attitude and handson mentality.
