Role introduction
The Information Security Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy, and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, compliance requirements, and emerging threats.

Your primary focus areas include:

• Integration of the current 3 Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) deployed across the 3 locations in the Netherlands (Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Veenendaal);
• Enhancement and assurance of continued certification of security compliancy standards like ISO 27001:2022;
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures;
• Lead the identification, assessment and prioritization of solving security risks and vulnerabilities across the organization;
• Establish and manage an effective incident response and disaster recovery plan to minimize the impact of security breaches;
• Conduct regular security audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations;
• Collaborate with HSO's local and international teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle of applications, systems, and infrastructure;
• Provide guidance and support to business units on security-related matters, including access control, encryption, and data protection.

What do you bring to the role?

• Bachelor's or master's degree and relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISA are highly desirable;
• Proven experience (5+ years) in information security management, with a track record on cybersecurity principles, risk management, compliance requirements, and emerging threats;
• In depth understanding of compliance requirements, e.g. ISO 27001/27002 and experience in implementing and certifying organizations based on these standards;
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining information security policies, procedures, and guidelines;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively advise and collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams, and the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
• Fluency in English is a necessity, while proficiency in Dutch is preferred. Candidates who do not speak Dutch should demonstrate a willingness to learn the language.
