The overarching purpose of this role is to support the Senior Manager Treasury & Financial Services in the creation, organization and execution of the Treasury and Financial Services unit's strategy and objectives surrounding the end to end Treasury and Finance initiation/ ongoing management/ expansion of initiatives related to the Connected Trip (E.g. Flights, Insurance, etc.), Booking Holdings Financial Services (BHFS), Regulated Products (E.g.

FX Services, VCC self issuance, SME lending etc.), Banking (Global bank relationship management, pay-in/pay-out solutioning and banking infrastructure), Corporate Insurance, Treasury & Financial Services Technology and Data Analytics.


She or he is further accountable for the creation and implementation of proper governance of the Treasury & Financial Services unit's processes in serving the product and/ or commercial teams.

She or he guides the overall design and implementation of complex solutioning (regulated and non regulated environment).

She or he ensures appropriate monitoring/ improvement of key performance metrics from Treasury and Finance capacity, safeguarding of funds and other balance sheet assets, internal/ external stakeholders relationship management and negotiation of cost efficient pricing structure from relevant third-party vendors or partners such as Bank, FinTech, PSP or OTA partners as required.


Hence, the role manages and oversees content experts within the Treasury & Financial Services workstreams, enabling the design and implementation of compliant, efficient and effective Finance Target Operating Model (TOM) that may evolve over time.


Key responsibilities:


  • Provide team direction on the key performance deliverables to be accomplished in line with agreed Treasury & Financial Services unit's strategy, objectives and governance framework. Promote adoption of best practices in the execution of daily activities;
  • Build trusted relationship with the business and stakeholders to deliver best

- class financial solutions, creating values through strategic advisory services, and aiding decision making with data-driven insight

  • Ensure end
- to
- end accountability for Treasury & Financial Services managed products and/or commercial initiatives by working closely with Business stakeholders as first Line of Defense i.e. Accountable persons; and with Treasury Risk & Control Officer, Risk and Control team and/ or Finance in their role/capacity in the second LoD.

  • Drive and take accountability for or own key metrics (Insights and KPIs) to measure overall performance, risk and return;
  • Ensure the Treasury & Financial Services Playbook (I.e. Its principles and relevant risk questionnaires) is uptodate and captures the relevant strategic/commercial approach adopted in each Financial Services workstream. Regularly update various metrics that measure economic benefits (such as disintermediation scenarios) and risks of our product portfolio;
  • Assess and support in the development of potential risk mitigation methodologies, techniques or architecture by working closely with risk owners (I.e. From Treasury, Accounting, FP&A, Payment Operations, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Tax, Legal teams and the broader business) as part of the overall Treasury and Finance Target Operating Model design and principles enhancement;
  • Act as innovation catalyst across Finance, Treasury and Payments by exploring, assessing and implementing Financial Services markets' opportunities and solutions;
  • Actively seek opportunities within the overall Treasury and Finance processes for process improvement, reduction of waste and automation from Booking Holdings point of view. Further, actively seek opportunities to increase our ability to scale by leveraging (new) technology and Six Sigma principles;
  • Assists the Director / Senior Manager
  • Treasury & Financial Services in preparing and managing annual budgets and forecasts, as well as in setting up the Treasury and Financial Services unit's strategy and objectives;
  • Coach and manage team leaders and teams in Treasury & Financial Services workstreams;

Skills and experience required:

  • Postgraduate Master degree/ specialized advanced diploma in International Finance, Credit & Solvency or Treasury Management;
  • Possess deep understanding and experience in Treasury & Financial Services landscape such as Payments, Banking and Infrastructure, FinTech, Regulatory and Insurance;
  • Experienced and demonstrated full scale end to end global project implementation that relates to product and/or commercial initiatives for example safeguarding model and compliance for regulated entities, global banking and payments solutioning, system and technology, global cash and liquidity management and/ or global risk management;
  • Experienced and comfortable in managing senior stakeholders internally and externally;
