Job Description What are you going to do as a dual track student?**You will be part of our mechanical department in Eindhoven, which is responsible for the design and development of high-end security cameras from Bosch. We handle all parts' designs from scratch, including concept development, calculations and simulation, supplier follow-up, sample run support in the plant, and part/product follow-up until market release. You will be working with the Mechanical Engineering department comprising 7 mechanical engineers.


As a dual-track student, you will work part-time, 24-36 hours per week at Bosch, supporting the mechanical team with several activities, mostly focusing on 3D scans of parts, JIG and parts design, 3D prints and testing while completing your studies.


As a dual-track student, you will work on:

  • 3D scanner equipment and 3D scanning of mechanical parts.
  • Generating reports from the 3D scans to support the R&D team.
  • Creating 3D designs and prototyping jigs to support the 3D scans.
  • Being responsible for 3D printer equipment, maintenance, materials, and printing of parts.
  • Supporting engineers with hardware tests on R&D products.


You will receive full support from the team, but occasionally you'll need to proactively monitor the equipment and find solutions independently.


Qualifications Need to have**:


  • You are pursuing a (dual / parttime) HBO Bachelor's degree or would like to start such a study in the field of Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • You have knowledge of 3D CAD design software.
  • You are proficient in English and Dutch.
  • You are responsible, autonomous, and proactive.
  • You have experience in a professional working environment.
  • You are independent and selfmotivated.

Nice to have:


  • You are familiar with 3D scanning.
  • You had previous contact with 3D printers and 3D scans.
