The Naval organization in Hengelo consists of the segments Fire Control, Search and Multi Mission, CMS, Systems, F126 and Services.


About the Naval Services Segment


Radar and fire control systems on-board navy vessels are exposed to a harsh environment and are expected to last up to 40 years.

The Services Segment within our Naval organization provides services required ensure system readiness ranging from health checks and spare parts to overhauls, upgrades to long-term availability contracts.

Data in our radar and fire control systems are essential for the timely and correct execution of services.

In addition, data from our current installed base of systems will form the foundation for the new generation of radar and fire control systems.

Data management is therefore an activity that must be managed end-to-end.

We are looking for an E2E Process Manager managing Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM)/Field Data.


About the job
E2E Process Manager RAM/Field Data operates from the Services Segment and leads the product team RAM/Field Data responsible for the "end-to-end" setup and monitoring of all processes required to drive data-driven maintenance from ship to shore throughout the logistics chain


In more details:

  • Development or optimization of an existing endtoend RAM/Field Data service process incl. its business model (canvas) for optimal ontime, oncost and onquality delivery.
  • Ensuring correct implementation of the endtoend RAM/Field Data service process in the line organization incl. alignment at the strategic, tactical and operational level.
  • Monitoring the performance of the RAM/Field Data service delivery & financials incl. monthly KPIbased report to deputy Product Segment Managers and Head of Segment Operations. In addition; capturing backlog, triggering of corrective actions and lessons learnt sessions.
  • Defining and maintaining the RAM/Field Data service definition in the Service Product Baseline (Maturity level).
  • Setup improvement plan to conduct Value Stream Analysis & Value Stream Mapping activities.
  • Capturing the tooling requirements and updates. Draft proposals for Tooling / IT related changes in cooperation with the respective SME and Process owners.
  • Balancing the specific needs of projects that are driven by customers against the need for maintaining one standard RAM/Field Data service for internal efficiency (productization) in connection with Product Teams, in a proactive manner.
  • Leading and chairing the E2E RAM/Field Data team with representatives of all involved departments
  • Control and demonstrate value of assigned budget.
  • Providing information for defining, maintaining and implementing the innovation roadmap per RAM/Field Data service based on the market trends and customer needs
  • Teaming / connect and extend network within Thales Group and our customer base.

About you
- you have a relevant Bachelor or Master's degree

  • You are a driven personality who enjoys taking responsibility, setting goals for yourself and being persistent in achieving those goals.
  • You are a good communicator with a sense of interpersonal dynamics. You build good relationships at different levels.
  • You have a sense of structures, think endtoend and jump easily between practical and conceptual. You are analytical, but also creative.
  • You think process and work data driven.
  • Experience in building a data product.
  • Proven track record of creating and driving data and analytics projects with significant impact on the business.
  • Preferably has experience in the domain of Services, Logistic Engineering and asset management.
  • Can work under pressure.
  • Curious, with a desire to improve the Services business based on available data.
  • Is able to operate in a flexible environment.
