You can be part of our team The role As the Tactical Purchaser at Damen Naval, you are responsible for contracting the needed products and materials, services and/or outsourcing services requiring for completing our shipbuilding projects.

We are currently specifically seeking a Purchaser to strengthen our NPR-team (Non Project Related) preferably with experience in procuring and outsourcing maintenance and renovation activities on buildings as well as steel plates /steel profiles/ etc.

You also closely collaborate and lead a team of subject matter experts (SME's).

Executing and coordinating the procurement and outsourcing of maintenance and renovation activities on buildings, steel/profiles, etc according to applicable procedures and project boundaries
Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of supplier contracts, considering all cost variables
Conducting research, qualification, and evaluation of suppliers and sub-contractors on a project basis
Providing dependable data for budgeting and cost price calculations
Managing and coordinating the entire procurement process, from specification to selection, evaluation, contracting, contract management, and aftercare, following established procedures and project boundaries
Crafting proposals for standardization, forging framework contracts, and diligently monitoring and upkeeping them
As the Tactical Purchaser, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities
Technical Bachelor degree, preferably accompanied by Nevi-1 and Nevi-2 certifications or a willingness to enrol in these courses
A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a technical environment, with a strong background in procurement
Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken
Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects
