COSCO SHIPPING LINES (NETHERLANDS) B.V. is the local office of COSCO SHIPPING Lines, Shanghai in The Netherlands.

COSCO Shipping Lines is a container shipping company with increasing capacity and belongs to the
world top 3 global carriers. Through dozens of trade lanes, over 100 of ports worldwide are connected. Several weekly services from Rotterdam to e.g. Far East and the U.S.A. are handled at our local office.

We arrange COSCO SHIPPING Lines operational activities and arrange full service concerning all (container) vessels to the Netherlands.

We are looking for a fulltime (1,0 FTE)


Operator Inward Customer Service

Position of department within organisation
Operator Inward, Customer Service is an independent position with specific knowledge.

• Within a team of 17 persons the Operator is reporting to Manager Inward department and works (closely) together with the customer service team other colleagues form inward dept. regarding the daily activities within the function.

Your responsibilities, what do we expect?

• Provide Customs our General Declaration in fixed time slot with correct details.

Provide at same time Customer details in Port community system (Portbase).

• Provide discharge list, DG list, reefer list and further necessary (awkward)

details in fixed time to concerned parties for smooth discharge of containers.

• Responsible to release vessel in system in due time for further processing invoices and

release of cargo.

• Responsible to provide correct details to Customs/Stevedore/ Inward colleagues and

other departments

• Operator is responsible for at least 1 inbound vessel trade service on all inbound related cargo.
• Intermediate between COSCON, customer, freight forwarders, stevedores, and Customs.
• Checking bills of lading and payments for release to rightful receivers.
• Keeping close track on schedules and informs customers accordingly.

Personal skills, performance, and requirements

• Good verbal/written knowledge of Dutch and English is mandatory.
• Able to work with various computer systems.
• Excel knowledge
