About the job


To strengthen our team in Europe, we are looking for a Sales Manager who enjoys new challenges in the international world of herbs, spices and dried vegetables and wants to grow in this role.

Where will you work?


Within a small, international and motivated team Offices are located in Purmerend and Harderwijk, but we have colleagues throughout Europe who work from home or from a flexible workspace.

BCFoods Europe B.V. imports and exports spices, herbs, seeds and dried vegetables.

BCFood's head office is located in Santa Rosa, California and has several factories in China, India and the US, mainly producing dried vegetables such as onion and garlic.

In total, approximately 550 people work for BCFoods worldwide.


Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for customers mainly in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Germany, but also other countries in Europe.
  • You look for new customers and are proactive about this, and you deal with existing customers and try to serve the customer optimally. Developing new business is crucial in this role as there are many chances and for you as eager sales driven person this is 1 of your main targets.
  • You manage customer service/logistics
  • You develop as an expert in the field of herbs, spices, seeds and dried vegetables. BCFoods Europe is part of the Royal Dutch Spice Association (KNSV) and The European Spice Association (ESA) where you participate in meetings in the Netherlands.
  • You formulate the sales policy and develop it into sales strategies and plans that you then implement in practice.

What do we expect?

  • Minimum HBO/WO
  • Relevant work experience 810 years in sales, preferably in the food industry
  • High level of independence and persuasiveness
  • Excellent communication and commercial skills
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language
  • Knowledge of and experience with SAP is an advantage
  • You are a real team player, eager to learn, enthusiastic and have the will to grow BCFoods Europe together with others
  • Willingness to travel, location preferably in Harderwijk
