- You will teach and coach year 2, 3 and 4 students
- You will be an integral part of the community of learners and community of practitioners.
- You will support both the design teams and operational teams in year 2 and 4
- You will actively contribute to further enhancement of our curriculum
- You will advice on body of knowledge and skills w.r.t. airline ground operations and compliance.
- You will spot oportunities for professional courses
- You will contribue to setting up and managing the creation of new courses
- You will maintain, expand and utilize a professional network to support the bachelor program
- A gross monthly salary between €3,896 to €5,936 (Hay profile Lecturer / Researcher, scale 11 of the higher education collective labour agreement), with a full-time appointment and depends on education and experience.
- A year-end allowance of 8.3% and a holiday allowance of 8% of your gross annual salary.
- 428 holiday hours per year with a 40-hour working week.
- Entitlement to various types of leave, such as (un)paid parental leave, care leave, adoption and foster care leave and various other arrangements.
- A travel allowance for your commute, an NS-Business Card, your own AUAS bicycle or a tax incentive to purchase your own bicycle. If you are unable to use personal or public transport to travel to work, e.g. because of a disability, we will look at other possibilities together.

- You have a masters degree in a a relevant field of study
- You have considerable industry experience in airline and airport ground operations
- You have affinity with airline/airport regulations and compliance monitoring
- Educational experience in terms of teaching and course development is a plus
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset
- You have a relevant professional network and are able to identify industry/sector needs and spot oportunities for potential professional courses.
- You are comforatable with direct teaching of content and are able to coaching students with a variety of didactical methods

The Bachelor program Aviation is looking for an experienced lecturer Aviation Operations with emphasis on ground operations and compliance. You will be part of the Operations lecturers team where you will be teaching our year 2 to year 4 students in workshops and projects. You are comfortable with learning other subjects in aviation operations and do not shy away from adding value to other courses or taking on activities outside of your comfort zone.
In addition, the Aviation program is under development and with your background in the aviation industry and education you will translate practical and industry challenges into motivating projects and educational material. You will also be part of a small group of people who will evaluate and contribute to the development of potential professional courses
An important focus for our program in the upcomming decade is the transition to more sustainable aviation. You will keep track of how anticipated developments w.r.t. sustainability impact airline and airport ground operations.
