    Role

    We are looking for a hands-on, dedicated, and experienced Data/Software Engineer with a strong focus on Databricks & AWS to join our global data & analytics team. At Genmab, our global data & analytics team develops robust data engineering pipelines by applying industry best practices and ground breaking technology platforms. The ideal candidate will be developing and optimizing our company's data and data pipeline architecture in Databricks & AWS. This role includes working with multi-functional teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. You will play a crucial role in supporting our data-driven decision-making processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, implement, and maintain Databricks environments to support advanced analytics and data processing needs.
    • Facilitate enabling new features/ capabilities and drive MVPs in conjunction with business functions & platform leaders.
    • Act as a Databricks administrator and ensure platform level SLAs are met.
    • Architect production level data pipelines, including end-to-end pipeline load performance testing and optimization.
    • Develop and optimize data pipelines using Apache Spark, Databricks & AWS native services.
    • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate complex data processing workflows into scalable and efficient solutions.
    • Implement best practices for big data processing and automation within Databricks & AWS.
    • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data pipeline.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in Databricks environments.
    • Displays in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and their application in databricks and related big data technologies.
    • Well versed with DevSecOps concepts and frameworks.
    • Foster a data-centric culture, mentoring team members, and driving data-focused initiatives.
    • Stay updated with emerging technologies, assessing their applicability to our organization's goals.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Must have 5 + years of hands-on experience with Databricks & AWS in a software engineering/ data engineering capacity.
    • Extensive experience building big data pipelines.
    • Experience with Development Tools for CI/CD, Unit and Integration testing, Automation and Orchestration.
    • Experience designing data solutions on cloud infrastructure and services, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP using best practices in cloud security and networking.
    • Strong development experience in one or multiple languages (SQL, Java, Python and Scala).
    • 3+ years professional experience with Big Data technologies (e.g. Spark, Hadoop) and architectures.
    • Familiarity with data integration and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
