    Come on in to an iconic former bank building where offices and ATMs have made way for a brand-new hotel in the city centre of The Hague.     You will be staying at Botanica together with the kitchen crew. The restaurant is a destination in itself, serving standout dishes that include grilled vegetables and proteins cooked in a Josper charcoal oven. With a focus on local ingredients, you can expect honey from the bee hotel, fresh coffee roast delivered by bike, or eggs from the best hen farm in The Hague. Our vegetable-inspired menu considers seasonality and emphasizes a sustainable supply chain from product to plate. Botanica is where you will be the breakfast chef that runs the show by helping guests and inventing dishes that fit the multi-cultural appetite of our guests.

    • Ensuring that your kitchen work area is equipped with necessary tools supplies and equipment to meet business demand. And assisting colleagues to fix their area too if needed.
    • Brainstorming on the menus of Ultramarijn, Botanica, room service and events.
    • Preparing the different dishes according to the supplied recipe card.
    • Communicate with guests from our open kitchen.
    • Communicate with colleagues of different departments to adjust meals to guest preferences
    • Help washing up the dishes if needed.
    • Make sure you use all machinery in the kitchen operation safely. Maintaining all kitchen equipment clean and functional. When necessary, reporting damage and repairs to the engineering department or Head Chef.
    • Training and developing trainees and apprentices.
    • Preparing not only guest meals but also host meals.
    • Working according to food safety procedures in compliance with HACCP standards and continuously monitoring that food safety policies and HACCP standards are followed.
    • Living the vocoTM brand with pride, passion & energy.
    • Creating & inspiring others to deliver memorable branded guest experiences.
    • Promoting teamwork and lifestyle service through daily communication and coordination with other teams.
    • Ad-hoc duties as required – unexpected moments when we have to pull together as a team to get a task done.
