    Sales and Purchase Manager

    (Venlo, Netherlands)

    Your Mission

    Ensure company's growth in terms of sales, profits & customers base (1) developing the the sales to direct customers of Puratos Schobbers and to Puratos affiliates; in line with Puratos Schobbers strategy, sales plan and the Group's guidelines, (2) actively promoting the Puratos Schobbers product lines, (3) create a strong long term partnership to the assigned key accounts, (4) be actively involved in the purchase of raw materials (grains and seeds) for internal processing.

    What you will do

  • Your customers are existing Puratos Schobbers customers, which are supplied directly. As well as Puratos Affiliates (mainly Europe).
  • You are responsible for strategic Purchase of Raw Materials for internal processing.
  • You contribute to the annual sales plan/budget and the long term sales and purchase strategy. Next to that you contribute to develop the purchase strategy.
  • You take actions and initiative to reach your sales and purchase targets.
  • Understand the customers' manufacturing operation systems, processes and policies in order to use their language for sales discussion.
  • Ensure proactive support and fast reactive troubleshooting and (technical) problem solving at customers, together with the other members of the business development team (R&D, quality, logistics,...).
  • Establishes, develops & maintains business relationships with current and prospective customer in order to to support existing business and generate new business. This relationship building will be at all levels within customers (NPD, Technical, Sales, Operations & Commercial ) - Putting the customer at the centre of all activities.
  • Define very well the needs of the customer and bring other members of the business development team in contact with their counterpart at the customer's side in order to build and grow the confidence and as a consequence the business with this customer.
  • Coordinate and/or negotiate the sales deals with the customer (pricing, delivery conditions, quality documents, forecasting etc...)
  • You stay up-to-date about consumer trends, market evolutions of products and raw materials, customer landscape,...
  • Follow up the sales results and if necessary take corrective actions
  • Report progress on the account on regular basis
  • Overall responsible for Total Profit & Loss with this account

    • What we expect from you

  • University degree or equivalent by experience
  • Mother language Dutch + fluent in 2nd language (English) any other language is a plus (German, French, Spanish,...)
  • Commercial B2B/ industrial experience
  • Passion for food, affinity with the bakery sector
  • Knowledge of the grains as seeds market is a big plus
