POSITION OF DEPARTMENT WITHING ORGANISATION
Cross-Ocean B.V. is a 100% owned subsidiary of COSCO Shipping (Europe) GmbH. Cross-Ocean B.V.


consists of two departments:
the General Agency Department and the Logistics Services Department.

Our General Agency Department (GAD) delivers husbandry activities to COSCO Shipping vessels and third-party vessels for which Cross Ocean has been nominated as agent.

The focus of our Logistics Services Department (LSD) is on providing forwarding and customs services not only in-house to our COSCO organization but mainly to third party customers.

Cross-Ocean B.V. is also appointed as marketing and sales agent for COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd. This part of the COSCO group is active in the heavy lift and break-bulk shipping services.


POSITION OF JOB IN ORGANISATION
The Operator forwarding reports directly to the Assistant Manager Logistics & Customs.

• To process forwarding files from the moment of order acceptance up to invoicing
• To perform daily custom clearance activities within the department following strictly the company guidelines
• To deal with possible problems with order execution

RESPONSIBILITIES / CORE ACTIVITIES

• To process and execute different kind of forwarding orders.
• To handle inbound/outbound cargo for Dutch market as well as other countries.
• To update and register data in the FITON system on forwarding and invoicing jobs.
• Attend department meetings, external meetings in case this is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• MBO 4 working and thinking level (diploma "manager Haven Logistiek" is preferred)
• Minimum 4 years of working experience in a similar working environment is a pre.
• Some experience in export/shipping documentation
• Fluent Dutch and English, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of German language is a pre (spoken)
