    The role:

    To strengthen our internal know-how and external market position in the field of winches, we are looking for a Product Specialist Winches.

    We are Business Discipline SAS-Hytop, part of the Offshore Energy (OE) product market group (PMG). We provide products and services to the Global Oil & Gas, Dredging and cable lay market. Our core expertise is in equipment for Pipelay, FPSO and Winches & Hydraulics for the dredging market.

    The vision of Offshore Energy is to, eventually, fully transition its products and services towards the Offshore Renewables and Infrastructure sector. We expect a growth in our market share towards the Offshore Wind. In order to achieve this vision our focus is on Services & maintaining our value in Product leadership.

    As a product specialist Winches, you are the go-to-person and end responsible for the design and the end product of all types of winches within IHC.

    What will be your responsibilities as product specialist Winch?

  • Knowledge holder on the technical product of winches in all its variety.
  • Support sales & operation teams with technical knowledge of the winch products and applications within the market.
  • Create product portfolio for Winches and investigate market for Winches (what kind of Winches are there and usage of winches within this market)
  • Build a strong working partnership with engineering, marketing, operations, and sales to translate end market needs into actionable initiatives
  • Preferably the product specialist Winches has the following skills & Knowledge (or is willing to develop him/herself on this field):

  • Knowledge of different kinds of Winches – from Dredging winches for a Beaver with a traction of 1000 kg – till a traction Winch for an Offshore vessel with a traction of kg or more.
  • Knowledge of control system of a winch, active heave compensation, load sensing.
  • Knowledge & understanding of synchronization control
  • Knowledge of Winches, hydraulic & electrical drive
  • Knowledge of gearboxes
  • Knowledge of lifting wires & their specific applications (rotating/non-rotating, along lay/cross lay, cross section build-up)
  • Knowledge of Winding mechanism of winches
  • Knowledge of lebus spool mechanisms and other forms of drum spool preparation
  • Dynamic & static strength analysis

  • Selection process:

    After your application, there will first be a short phone call with the Corporate Recruiter. Subsequently, the selection procedure consists of two rounds of interviews. The first interview will be with the manager and a direct colleague. During the second interview, a manager from a different department and someone from HR will join. If everyone is enthusiastic, a phone call follows to discuss the terms of employment.
