Are you the natural-born manager who loves to lead crucial innovation projects of food processing solutions from scratch to a successful and timely launch?
We are looking for a Chief Engineer in our Line of Business Primary Processing. As a Chief Engineer you will contribute to defining the project and guide the project teams to deliver the project objectives on time within specs. Per project KPI's will be determined and will concern (amongst others) timelines, quality, people development, reporting and communication. The final design or product is your responsibility. We have a team of multi-disciplined star players who will work with you on executing these projects in accordance with the NPI (New Product Introduction) process and according to RACI (responsible, accountable, communicate, inform). As Chief Engineer you are challenging your team members and get them to perform at their best. Hiring, training, coaching, appraising, motivating from your team are all part of the job package. Its up to you to evoke creative and innovative thinking from your employees while helping them to bring their ideas to fruition.
You will report project statuses, risks and KPI's with the Director of the Line of Business. In addition, you are responsible for the contacts with the product manager and act as the main point of contact between external partners and the team.
Education / experience / skills:
Bachelor's in engineering.
7 years of experience in similar business (machine building, food processing, innovation)
2 years of experience in a similar position
Highly flexible, able to solve day to day issues, and to mitigate unexpected turns of events
Experienced user in project management and design-software and management tools, such as Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
Excellent in English (reading and writing) Dutch, German and Spanish is a preference
Experience in poultry is a plus.

Working conditions:
A maximum gross salary up to € 7.,- per month
A little over days of holiday entitlements
