    Director Government and Public Affairs Benelux

    Job Description

    As a Director Government and Public Affairs Benelux, you will play a pivotal role in strategically positioning Philips' portfolio within the Dutch healthcare landscape, advocating for its interests in the field of health with governmental and public stakeholders. You will report directly to the Head of Government and Public Affairs Netherlands and collaborate closely with the Benelux Market , Global Government and Public Affair Team, especially in Europe, as well as with several businesses and functions. The position, based in Eindhoven, emphasizes active engagement with funding issues, health economics, and Business-to-Government activities, necessitating regular travel within the Netherlands.

    Your role:

    • You will position Philips as the leader in healthcare in Netherlands actively engaging with healthcare sector developments, addressing critical issues for healthcare organization executives such as staffing shortages, digitalization, data management and sustainability,
    • You will develop and maintain relationships with governmental and industry stakeholders, influencing legislation to safeguard Philips' interests. You will focus primarily on healthcare themes while providing support for the themes connected with "Innovation" and "Corporate Issues" when needed,
    • You will establish partnerships with health insurers, collaborating on innovative projects to address funding issues,
    • You will collaborate with the Benelux Market to strengthen solution propositions in Dutch healthcare. You will also coordinate internally to provide input on health issues and advise on governmental matters,
    • You will stay up to date and deeply analyze policies and regulations, proactively informing colleagues about potential impacts on Philips. You will develop strategies to support Philips' policies and regulations,
    • You will represent Philips in relevant policy debates, participating in industry organizations including VNO - NCW and FME Healthcare.

    You're the right fit if:

    • You have 10-15 years of experience in relevant positions ideally working in global, matrix organizations. You have in In-depth understanding of the Dutch healthcare domain, policies and legislation in the healthcare sector and legislative processes in Netherlands,
    • You have demonstrable lobbying experience with integrity and ethical principles,
    • Knowledge of digitalization, funding issues, and health economics is a plus,
    • You have strong network within the relevant members of the government, national politics, the Ministry of Health, insurers, and other public stakeholders in the health sector,
    • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
    • You are able work independently, proactively, and transparently. You are flexible and enjoy working in dynamic environment,
    • You have a high level of i ntegrity, working accordingly to the company's ethical principles.
    • Proficient in Dutch communication and strong English language skills.
