IB&M is the primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions for the Bank's corporate and government clients.

Corporate Client Coverage ("CCC") are responsible for creating senior, strategic and early engagement with our clients on their business mix, capital structure and financial needs/solutions in partnership with relevant IB&M product specialists and risk and other support partners.


The Bank's CCC team are a centre of excellence for financing, delivering value-enhancing solutions to clients through deep strategic engagement, leveraging CBA's capabilities across the capital spectrum.

Our coverage comprises sophisticated counterparties experienced in complex financings.


About the role


You will be responsible for the origination and ongoing relationship management activities for a portfolio of European based corporate clients, supporting seamless day-to-day management of the existing client base, new to Bank clients, new transactions and ongoing portfolio management.

You will have a key focus on driving the global Multinational Corporation ("MNC") strategy with European based corporates.


You will be working on matters relating to the execution of existing products to clients, leading deal teams on new business, driving client planning, undertaking annual reviews, assisting with maintaining pipeline and systems data along with KYC/AML/ESG matters.


To do this, you will:

  • Lead and manage an existing portfolio of Corporate clients in Europe, including: Demonstrating ownership and leadership in management of the client portfolio, managing daytoday services for new and existing clients, actively following up to ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining strong relationships with client key decision makers.
  • Execute on a growth mandate by identifying and originating both: new client relationships for CBA, and new product opportunities within CBA's existing European client base.
  • Lead and coordinate the engagement with Credit Risk and Product partners in executing new client opportunities, including the preparation of credit papers, negotiating terms and navigating internal credit committees / approvals.
  • Maintain all basic client information such as limits, industry information and Credit Risk ratings.
  • Take ownership for managing timelines and preparation of various reporting requirements such as KYC, compliance, pipeline, calls, contacts and financial performance.

We're interested in people who have:

  • Strong executive communication skills and possess the composure and drive to commit to meet tight deadlines.
  • You will be a collaborative team player and will have highly developed organisational, time management and administrative skills.
  • The ability to lead Deal Team's with stakeholders in multiple jurisdictions and business units will be critical to the success of this role.
  • Experience originating and managing corporate relationships is essential, with a proven track record of working closely with product partners and credit risk to achieve positive outcomes for both the client and CBA.
  • You will be able to demonstrate your experience in a client facing role and possess relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Experience working closely with Global Markets and Commodities in covering corporate relationships.
  • Degree in commerce, business, or related field
  • Accounting, risk management or a treasury qualification desirable but not essential
