    Role Overview

    The Logistics and Transportation Manager EMEA will play an instrumental role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials across the EMEA region for LenelS2. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations EMEA, APAC & ANZ, this individual will oversee all aspects of logistics and transportation operations (liaising with our 3PL CEVA Logistics partner) and will be responsible for executing on-time deliveries and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Additionally, the Logistics and Transportation Manager EMEA will lead the Customs and Transportation Specialist EMEA in handling customs procedures and ensuring adherence to international trade regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Planning: develop and implement comprehensive logistics and transportation strategies aligned with company objectives to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.

    Team Leadership: provide effective leadership and direction to the Customs and Transportation Specialist EMEA, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

    Transportation Management: oversee the transportation network, including carrier selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

    Routing and Scheduling: develop and maintain optimized transportation routes and schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing resource utilization and minimizing transit times.

    Inventory Management: collaborate with relevant stakeholders to optimize inventory levels and distribution patterns, ensuring adequate stock availability while minimizing holding costs.

    Compliance and Risk Management: ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations, trade laws, and transportation safety standards, mitigating risks and liabilities associated with logistics operations.

    Performance Metrics: define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics and transportation operations, implementing continuous improvement initiatives as needed.

    Vendor Management: cultivate and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other vendors to ensure reliable and cost-effective services.

    Cross-functional Collaboration: collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, procurement, manufacturing, and customer service teams, to coordinate logistics activities and support overall business objectives.

    Budget Management: develop and manage the logistics and transportation budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field. Master's degree preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics & transportation management
    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
    • In-depth knowledge of transportation modes, regulations, and industry best practices
    • Familiarity with customs procedures, import/export regulations, and trade compliance requirements
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement process improvements
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams and external partners
    • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP, TMS, and WMS platforms
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
    • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) are a plus
