In this position you will join the Thales Netherlands IS/IT team.

IS/IT is at the core of the Thales digital transformation and there is a close relationship between IS/IT and business.

With a team of 150 colleagues we provide IS/IT support to our 2500 NL colleagues in several Business Lines and functions.

The Security Identity Access Management Team (SIAM) is part of the Information Systems department within Thales. A very important aspect of IT at Thales is Cyber Security.

Both for the environments regulated by IS/IT, as well as the so called 'Business Managed Networks', environments built up and maintained by Business functions.

We are offering an interesting internship to get to know all about Cyber Security in practice, how to handle security topics in relation to different IT environments and you will be part of a young and energetic team working on several Security and IAM topics.

About the assignment:

The SIAM team is looking for an intern who can help in doing security assessments on the Business Managed Networks.

You are leading the BMN assessments and are in contact with the BMN owners within Thales Netherlands. You are critical and help them to assess the security maturity of the BMN they are responsible for.

Together with the BMN owner, and the SIAM team, you flag any vulnerabilities you may run into and together decide upon the best solution to mitigate security risks.

Also, your expertise and sharp eye can help us in tailoring the security process for BMNs, improving our process and experience for the business owner.

You deliver a completed assessment inventory of the 100 BMNs within Thales Netherlands as well as a recommendation letter for further improvements of the security process for BMNs.

Affinity:

You are third, or fourth year student of a Computer Science degree, or any related study programme, with a strong affinity in Cyber Security.

You are enthusiastic, proactive, and you're not afraid to ask questions and be critical.
