    Dallas, TX – UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as its next Director of Graduate Medical Education. This is a unique opportunity to lead the graduate medical education program for the 7th largest ACGME sponsoring institution.

The GME program at UT Southwestern features 128 ACGME programs with over 1,600 trainees and has experienced a steady increase of trainees with many programs increasing their complements.     The Director of Graduate Medical Education will bring infrastructure and systems together to provide an environment for educational excellence and outstanding culture for GME. The Director of GME will be strategic and have the technical knowledge to optimize GME operations in collaboration with GME leadership, program directors, hospital leaders and executives whose focus is on clinical program excellence. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Academic and Business Operations and Associate Dean, Graduate Medical Education, the Director of Graduate Medical Education will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing strategy for enhancement across all GME programs to ensure that residents and fellows are learning in a best-in-class environment dedicated to providing high quality, patient centered medical care.

    The successful candidate will have at least eight years of related experience in administration of graduate medical education programs along with previous supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will also bring a thorough understanding of ACGME accreditation processes with demonstrated expertise of GME operations at large academic medical centers. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required while a master's degree and TAGME certification are preferred.
