    SUMMARY OF DUTIES

    In this position on a day shift you will work in the Logistics Department of our Distribution Centre in Maastricht. As a Logistics Coordinator Outbound you ensure that products are prepared for transport. You follow up on the picking & packing process and prepare the shipping documents, all in close contact with Customer service. In this position you take independent responsibility for the whole process, all the way from releasing the order in our system to welcoming the drivers who come to pick up the goods. Good communication skills in both Dutch and English are required as you will have daily interactions with other parties.

    In short, a versatile position, in a close-knit team, in which you are involved in many different activities.

    Logistics Coordination Tasks:

    • Making sure that customer orders are shipped in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for inbound shipments and making sure these are available in stock in a timely manner.
    • Direct contact with forwarders on daily issues.
    • Resolve issues and problems that may arise with outbound and inbound shipments.
    • Track deliveries and arrange for POD's (Proof of Delivery) when required.
    • Responsible for arranging pickups.
    • Ensuring that correct carriers and services are used.
    • Responsible for correct paperwork and (export) documents for shipments.
    • Keeping an efficient and complete filing system for all shipping documents.
    • Main contact person for customer service department for all logistic related matters.
    • Coordinates all activities in the warehouse.
    • Containing on hold products.
    • Responsible for RGA's.
    • Physical handling of returned products.
    • All administrative booking in software programs.
    • Backup for colleagues.
    • Assists the Logistics Manager in all his activities.

    Distributor and Large Shipment related tasks:

    • Releasing deliveries in the Voice Picking system
    • Following up on the progress of shipments with the warehouse team
    • Shipping out packaged shipments by customer requirements
    • Coordinating shipment pickups:
      • Answer doorbell when driver arrives
      • Arrange for the truck to be loaded by a Logistics Operator
      • Handling of the paperwork

    Additional tasks:

    • Assist in exception handling
    • Developing and improving the trained processes, together with other Coordinator, Logistics and the warehouse manager.

    SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Three years (+) experience in a Quality environment, preferably in Healthcare/Medical Device industry in a similar role.
    • Knowledge of quality principles as defined in the regulations and the ability to utilize these methods in a logistics environment.
    • PC skills including standard Office packages as well as the ability to understand and learn customized computer software programs.
    • Two years (+) experience in a warehouse and shipping environment.
    • Language skills: fluent Dutch and English. Knowledge of German or French would be a plus.

    • Ability to initiate and work independently and work well with others.
    • To be a coach for the warehouse operators.
