Network Administrator (m/f/d)

Permanent position, full-time - Cologne Your tasks

• Administration and maintenance of network components in schools and for business customers
• Supporting service providers with the commissioning of network components
• Analyzing, diagnosing and determining reported faults and rectifying them on site or remotely
• Collaboration in projects within the network division and across divisions
• The development and optimization of network environments
• Further development of the network concept for operation in schools and for business customers

Your profile

• You have successfully completed an apprenticeship in the IT sector (e.g. IT specialist for system integration) or a degree in computer science or have gained comparable experience as a career changer (m/f/d)
• Ideally, you have manufacturer certifications from Cisco (CCNA), Aruba (AMF) or Fortinet (NSE4)
• You work just as well independently as in a team and are solution-oriented
• A strong customer and service orientation, as well as a structured and meticulous approach to work

• You have a class B driving license
• Fluent written and spoken German is a prerequisite - other languages are welcome

Your experience

(Sound) knowledge in the following areas is desirable:

• Knowledge of network technology, especially in the areas of routing, switching and VPN
• The operation of LAN components in heterogeneous environments
• Ideally you have experience in the planning and implementation of network concepts
• Knowledge of the manufacturers Extreme Networks, HP Aruba as well as Huawei and Fortinet is also desirable
