What are you going to do as Research Engineer Plasma Chemistry?

We are looking for a research-engineer to join the fast growing plasma team. Among the academics, the research-engineer is the one with the practical know-how. Thanks to you, the scientists can count on reproducible experiments in projects involving process and equipment development.
We are looking for a candidate who likes to work together with colleagues within but also outside of our client. The job will be carried out at Brightsite situated at Chemelot in Geleen where we are developing new innovations with respect to electrification and plasma technology for (bulk) chemical processes,

You are responsible for the experiments to be carried out and collect and process measurement data together with colleagues, scientists and project leaders. As we are expanding the our lab facilities with set ups that go beyond the state-of-the-art, you will contribute to building and commissioning of our new systems. You also provide support in formulating research questions or a research design. You are able to organize your work well and have a critical attitude with respect to evaluation of results. You report results and conclusions in a transparent and insightful way. Like you, your colleagues thrive on applied research and are driven to develop innovative yet pragmatic solutions to increase the performance and reduce the cost of the plasma technology. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-national team that is full of ambition. There is plenty of room within it to try out different activities and to indicate your preferences. The role offers the perfect balance between autonomy and teamwork. You feel comfortable working closely with scientists, engineers and business development colleagues, all of whom are experts in plasma technology. Together, you will identify challenges and potential technological solutions.

Are you someone with

• BSc in Chemical Engineering;
• You are organized, structured and accurate in executing and reporting experimental research;
• you are handy at the lab and not scared to pick up tools when it's needed;
• You have an eye for safety of yourself and your colleagues;
• You have atleast 3 years experience in a similar role.
