About your Role


You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the safety and well-being of our employees, visitors, and the surrounding environment.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and with a dotted line to Global EHS, you will oversee all aspects of safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing strategies to mitigate risks effectively.

Operating within our state-of-the-art facility in Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands, you will be at the forefront of innovation and sustainability.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and

Implement Safety Policies:
Design, enforce, and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures according to regulations and industry standards.

  • Assess manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities for risks. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified hazards.
  • Assess and monitor the environmental impact of manufacturing processes. Implement strategies to minimize environmental footprint and promote sustainability initiatives within the organization.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for all employees, including new hires. Ensure awareness of safety protocols and procedures relevant to their roles.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the implementation of effective health initiatives.
  • Lead investigations into workplace incidents and accidents. Compile detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and
maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios. Conduct drills to ensure readiness and effectiveness.

  • Stay updated on safety regulations. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards. Develop and implement corrective action plans as needed.
  • Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives. Recognize and reward contributions to promoting a strong safety culture.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • HVK-Diploma.
  • 510 years of experience as a safety manager within a manufacturing environment.

Key Competencies

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
