    The Technology and Testing department is recognized for three world leading Technology Centers in Norway (Oslo and Bergen) and the Netherlands (Groningen), focusing on energy sectors like offshore wind, hydrogen, and carbon capture. Our experts oversee over 15 joint industry projects annually and manage 25 industry standards, including those for electrolysers and additive manufacturing.

    We specialize in metrology in energy, low-carbon fuels, materials, corrosion, and structural integrity, offering services across the energy value chain.

    We're looking for a Head of Section (HOS) to drive the growth of our Groningen Technology Center and lead a team of experts in metrology and low-carbon fuels technology.

    Reporting to the Head of Department (HOD), you will drive project organization, technology development, sales, and service advancements while fostering collaboration across departments and DNV units. You will participate in department operations and focus on identifying business opportunities and ensuring optimal performance delivery.

    The team will consist of 20+ experts within metrology and low-carbon fuels technology and you will mainly focus on:

  • Developing people towards their ambitions and capabilities.
  • Driving service development and establishing market positions in cooperation with Head of Department, Head of Sections, sales organization, and key experts.
  • Driving profiling, marketing, and sales processes.
  • Sponsoring projects, both in own unit and across the organization.
  • Identifying and developing new markets, customers, and services.

  • Master's degree in engineering (ocean technology, chemistry, environmental technologies) or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of the section key competence areas.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience.
  • Result-oriented, with a commercial attitude and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to create and sustain long-term professional and commercial relationships.
