    As a Plant Lifecycle Solution (PLS) Engineer in our Zoetermeer office, your role is diverse and both customer and technical focused. As the team has a strong ambition to grow (in team size and services) and you will be working with most departments, this is an interesting step if you would like to have better understanding of the business for your further career.

    The job requires a proactive, customer facing (commercially driven) person with a solid process and/or mechanical background who can work independent, takes initiatives and has good verbal and written communication skills.

    The Department

    Plant Lifecycle Solutions (PLS) is a department focused on providing support to customer operation. Our team is in close contact with clients throughout the entire lifetime of their plants and is coordinating the sales and execution of the required support activities.

    The department brings Technip Energies expertise to site to generate business potential and strengthen customer relationship. PLS is in regular communication with licensed and installed units to provide required support in operation, maintenance and, if needed, to help them in case of problems.

    PLS developed an extensive offering portfolio which is continuously adjusting and expanding depending on customer needs and market situation by selling Operational Support Service, Maintenance Solutions and Proprietary Equipment.

    The support that PLS is providing to customers, is helping to improve Technip Energies image, creating new leads, obtaining operational data and client feedbacks.

    Your day-to-day activities will consist of activities like communication with clients, preparation of service proposals, execution of service agreements, maintenance support and spare parts or Proprietary Items handling. You will be in close contact with almost all the departments within NL and third parties like vendors and clients to coordinate the Client support activities.

    Understanding Clients needs and Sales opportunities

  • Regular discussions, defining the required services, evaluation and defining/understanding the technical challenges of the specific service and to act accordingly.
  • Preparation of PLS proposals to clients

  • Definition of the scope of services and consult with departmental managers about hour budget, manpower allocation and timing / schedule
  • Execution of services

  • Define the best project execution model, request project numbers, manage expectation and communication with the client during the service project execution and look after projects in relation to planning, reporting, invoicing, visits, in case no project / proposal manager is assigned.
  • Spare parts / Proprietary equipment handling

  • Promote and assist the development of new Technip Energies proprietary equipment, request quotations to suppliers, preparation of proposals to client and of purchase orders to suppliers. Expediting activities and invoicing.
  • Internal follow-up

  • Follow up on damage cases and execute the actions that arise out of visit reports
  • Remaining activities

  • Maintain Plant history since its first startup, prepare and maintain overviews of Plant shutdowns, department administration and maintain and develop client relationships

    About You

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Process Engineering and/or Furnace Design on either Hydrogen / Syngas production or Ethylene / Olefin plant
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written
  • Commercial experience is not required, if you would like to grow into this role, we would like to see your enthusiasm and motivation for the position.

  • Proactive, you are motivated and feel the need to reach team and personal goals.
  • Good communication skills, you are able to build up informal and formal contacts that are useful to the organization.
