    An ITAD Technician will support a variety of inbound and outbound Operations process requirements including; product tear down, part cataloging, inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, and upgrading IT hardware. Adhere to and assist with the prioritization of inbound purchase orders and outbound sales orders, ensuring they are completed in the proper priority, and in a timely manner. Assist in the movement of inventory, and packaging products per operational requirements.
  • Stage, organize, and process purchase orders and sales orders in a timely manner that meets or exceeds expectations
  • Teardown, organize, test, troubleshoot, repair, catalogue electronic hardware, and assemble (configure to order), including but not limited to servers, workstations, network equipment, computers, and spare parts
  • Effectively erase previous customer data from storage devices and products, including resetting devices to original factory specifications on all inbound products
  • Provide updates to the status of purchase orders and sales orders in process and ensure the expeditious completion of each
  • Meet all project deadlines and create various reports as needed, providing frequent status updates to the Operations supervisor and manager
  • Learn, understand, and use Smith's proprietary systems
  • Adhere to and maintain ESD requirements in all required work areas
  • Adhere to and maintain all quality, safety, environmental & recycling processes and policies
  • Assist the Operations team and other departments as needed

  • Experience

  • 1+ years of experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting and repairing IT hardware (specifically Dell, HP, and/or Cisco).
  • Willingness to work in the evening shifts (if needed)
  • Software Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Microsoft Access Database experience a plus.
  • Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 15kg repetitively.
