Rui Parracho

Having music as my biggest passion, I have been playing music as a DJ in private venues and lounges with the alias Roy Rodrigues. My main genre surrounds the deep house and hip-hop sort of environments. I had conducted a series of studies that upgraded my knowledge in sound and music production, leading to the conclusion of a Bachelor of Arts in Music Technology from the University of West London. 
Being a tech-savvy person, I enjoy the process of data analysis and working in group environments. Currently, I am deepening my understanding of data analytics and copyright in the music industry, considering a career move in the short/ medium term.
With a strong background in Hospitality services, I am described by stakeholders as determined, approachable, and objective. Raising client review levels, engaging in quick solutions for rising emergencies, and planning processes ahead of time had become the main pillars of my tasks performed both in a team or solo. 

As a musician, I have played in several private DJ venues in Lisbon and Amsterdam. With the alias Roy Rodrigues, I was responsible for the setup and optimization of the sound field, mostly in indoor spaces, playing the genre as per agreed within each context, mostly at lounge and dinner parties. Being versatile in musical taste, I can have a deep understanding of each venue's context and present the music in accordance with its wishes. I had been developing my skills in live DJ playing since 17 years old.
As a Hospitality agent, where I have been for +8 years, I gained my soft skills and sales experience by working with Disney Cruise Lines, De'Leurope Hotel, and Renaissance Hotel, to name the most outstanding facilities. 
Started my career as a kitchen operator/ cashier at McDonald's in the surroundings of Lisbon in Portugal, to being a waiter at the fine tables of Disney's Wonder and Fantasy. These two ships sailed mostly in the Caribbean and the Alaskan waters. This tremendous step made me learn all about safety, courtesy, show, and efficiency both on and off-board. Was able to reach consistent excellent reviews in the service provided within the first 6 months. Whereas in Amsterdam I solidified my hospitality systems in Hotel experience at De L'Europe, Renaissance Hotel and currently at Motel One, being the F&B supervisor and head bartender, including shifts in night auditing operations.
