Hi there, 

I am a qualified architectural graduate with a Master's degree in Architecture from Victoria University of Wellington and four years of experience in the construction industry. I have recently moved to Amsterdam, and I am looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment that values BIM and computational design. 

I have always been passionate about BIM and how it can enhance the design and construction process. I have worked on various projects in different sectors, such as heritage, education, residential and commercial, using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Sketchup. I have also developed and implemented BIM standards, protocols and procedures within the organizations I have worked for, as well as supplied guidance and training to project teams on BIM software applications and best practices. 

As a BIM Modeler, I handle modeling and drawing constructions of buildings using Revit and interoperability tools. I check the drawings of the engineers with a critical eye and communicate with colleagues, consultants and clients effectively. I also use Python and Grasshopper to create tools that automate and optimize the BIM workflow. One of my achievements was leading the transition of a medium-sized firm from an AutoCAD based 2D drawing process to the full adoption of Revit. I developed a company-wide roadmap with clear objectives and milestones and organized weekly Revit sessions to train unaccustomed users and help them apply their skills to real-world projects. 

I am eager to learn more about BIM modeling and innovation from someone more experienced in this field. I am also interested in learning programming to apply it to the construction industry through automating and analyzing the construction process with sustainability and life cycle assessments at front of mind. My career goal is to become a registered architect who can leverage the power of computational tools to create efficient, sustainable and culturally grounded design solutions.
