Kai Leonard

I am writing this letter to express my interest in the role of sport marketing intern at O’neil. I believe my own interest in the subject and my experience in studying sports marketing makes me an ideal candidate.

Currently I am in my second year of studying sports management in the Hague university of applied sciences and it is apart of my course to find an internship for the 24th of april to the 30th of June 2023 and my goal for the internship is to create a product for your organization that will hopefully help to solve a problem in your business. For my product I would like to create an infographic based on the organization's social media pages and hope to identify trends within the statistics that can be of benefit to the business. 

Growing up in Bali, Indonesia surfing has always been a part of my life and is something I am very familiar with. I believe my passion for the sport and the first hand experience I have of the Bali surf lifestyle can be beneficial insight to the organization. Alongside this my willingness to learn new things and my ability to work with others can make me a valuable team member.

During my time studying sports management I have been able to follow courses in sports marketing and sport media which I believe have given me the competencies to become a productive member within the organization. Along with my knowledge I have a particular interest in the use of online marketing campaigns and how social media can be utilized in more interesting ways to catch the attention of consumers.

I believe I am the best candidate for this position as I am passionate about the subject and think most marketing now have become stale and overdone and wish to see a change in how things are done and promote more creative ideas. I also believe that I will be able to learn alot from this position and am very open to the learning experiences that this internship will be able to give me.

I have little professional experience as I am still in the middle of my studies however I have experience in being the head sports liaison when I was in high school where it was my responsibility to make sport related events and create awareness for upcoming sport tournaments our school was participating in. I hope and am eager to get more experience by working with your organization.

I am currently studying at The Hague university of applied sciences where I study sports management. Which I believe gives me the competencies to work at your organization as I have had classes in marketing, media and economics.
