During my almost three years of practical experience in the hydrology field, I had the privilege to use professional software for different purposes, including hydraulic modelling, hydrological modelling, and 3D modelling, along with many other programmes. My responsibilities included designing urban and rural flood protection infrastructures and ensuring the existing ones' robustness, writing technical reports and effectiveness, preparing BOQs, and submitting detailed layouts.

My specialisation started with my bachelor's degree with a graduation project on the flood protection and storm drainage systems of one of the hotspots in Egypt. My enthusiasm drove me to continue further research, so I pursued a master's degree in water hazards and climate at the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. During this MSc. programme, I got the opportunity to apply digital innovation and machine learning in the hydrology field.
