Danielle Vernes

I am a very active and enthusiastic person, I am well organised, friendly natured and passionate about the natural world and about people. I am looking to start building a career for myself in this space, a space that is trying to build a more sustainable future for both people and the environment. I have a diverse skill set with a background in environmental science, excellent communication skills and some basic experience in marketing. 

After completing my BSc in environmental science I have had various experiences that have widened my knowledge of global environmental issues as well as my skill set working in dynamic and international team settings. My most recent employment had me overseeing communications and compliance for a startup biotech, during which I collaborated closely with the marketing team gaining insight and skills in both online business to business and business to consumer marketing. I'm very interested in furthering these skills within the environmental industry. 

For my undergraduate degree I gained important insight into recent changes in climate and the global effort to build a more sustainable future. I developed a wide range of statistical skills necessary to analyse spatial patterns in environmental change but more importantly an insight into the need for local, regional and global action to be taken in order to prevent, predict, manage and mitigate the effects of environmental change.
