Bàrbara Levering

I have worked in a range of fields, going from working at costumer service at Barcelona's port, to working at Louis Vuitton; from working at university as a teacher assistant, to working as a rider at Flink; and also as tour guide for Leiden's Old Observatory. I started working when I was 15, and I am not 25. I have two bachelor degrees and a masters. I am passionate about space and communicating science to the public. But I also really enjoy working in hospitality, working for people, helping costumers and providing them with a good service. I am very adaptable, energetic, easy to work with and take work seriously. Things I can do well: think critically, code, communicate, speak Spanish and English, and a bit of Dutch. 

Tour Guide at the Old Observatory, University of Leiden, April 2022 - January 2023 (Part time): Became fluent in the history and operations of the Old Observatory and guided participants around the building and through the exhibition at the Visitor Centre.

Intern at Strategy & Coordination Group for Robotic and Human Exploration at the European Space Agency, February 2022 - August 2022: Working n communication and outreach material for ESA's future exploration missions.

Rider at Flink, January 2022 - April 2022 (Part time): Delivering groceries from the Flink Hub to costumers residences. 

Client Advisor, Louis Vuitton (Brussels Offices), Summer 2021: Customer service. Responsible for answering al incoming calls from clients via multiple platforms. Advising clients across the brand and product categories and maximising sale opportunities. 

Intern as Editorial Assistant and Scientific Content Writer, Nanolyse Technologies Ltd, September 2020 - May 2021 (Part time): Researching, editing, and writing articles on environmental issues for different stakeholders. Policy and technology research.

Teacher Assistant, University of Groningen, April 2018 - November 2019 (Part time): TA for the courses Mathematical Physics and Calculus I. Responsible for teaching group tutorials and assessing group homework and exams.

Event Coordinator, Exploramás (Barcelona), Summer 2017: Organising and working on company events, directing activities and taking care of facilities decoration.

Meet & Greet, Intercruises Shoreside and Port Services, May 2014 - July 2016 (Part time): Customer service at Barcelona's port. Duties included checking passengers in, directing them to the board, making announcements, and arranging reservations.
