Duties

Position is in Mission's Shipping & Travel section and provides a full range of administrative duties. The Travel Assistant manages travel services for the Mission. Provides travel policy guidance, advice, and assistance to Mission employees. Coordinates visit assistance with a wide range of foreign affairs agencies based in Washington, DC. The tasks he/she undertakes are frontline activities directed by the Shipping and Travel Supervisor and then undertaken independently.

Requirements:


Experience:
Three years of progressively responsible experience in the hospitality field is required.


Job knowledge:
Detailed knowledge of local hotels and event venues is required. Detailed knowledge and understanding of Dutch laws and regulations governing the hospitality industry is required.


Education Requirements:


Education:
Completion of Secondary School is required.


Evaluations:


Language Requirements:
Level IV (fluent) English and Dutch is required. This may be tested.


Skills and Abilities:
Required to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft suite software, SharePoint and the internet. Requires professional verbal and correspondence skills.

Must have a valid, current license for Dutch Motor Vehicle License Level B and be able to pass a driver's medical exam.

Salary:

€46,528 annual base salary. An additional 20.2% will be added to the listed Locally Employed (LE) Staff salary for allowances and premiums. You will receive a vacation bonus at 8.2 percent of base pay, a bonus for duty-free days at 3.67 percent of base pay and a year-end bonus at 8.33 percent of base pay. For this FSN-07 position this equates to a total remuneration of €55,926 per annum based on a 40-hour work week.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
