ABOUT US:

  • As Damen Offshore & Specialized Vessels we design and deliver maritime projects for various markets like Defense & Security, Public transport, Offshore and Dredging.
  • Our projects are Engineered to Order (ETO). Which means we are involved throughout the project, from the commercial phase and building strategy, until commissioning, delivery and warranty. This makes our work very challenging because the environment is complex and we have a lot of stakeholders.
  • We work in close cooperation with various internal departments, (sub)contractors, teams on the shipyard and of course the client and her representatives.
  • We do this with an international team of 'cando' people that are developing new and innovative technologies and ways to support customers and push for a more sustainable maritime industry.

THE ROLE:

  • As our Contract Manager OSV you will be an integral part of the project team at both the precontract and execution phase of large and complex, shipbuilding projects. These will mainly be ETOprojects and you will be actively involved in the entire process for bids and tenders at the prime and subcontract level and with all relevant stakeholders.
  • This specific role is looking at contracts in our Specialized vessels activities. Therefore you need to be knowledgeable on AWES, FIDIC and BIMCO contracts and their characteristics.
  • You will be implementing prime & subcontract management procedures consistent with our company policies and guidelines. In addition, you will provide contractual support and guidance to all project team members and you will oversee all contractual administration of prime and subcontracts throughout the contract life cycle.

  • Managing the handling of the prime and sub contract closeout requirements;
  • Ensuring that the project team members acquire the desired level of contractual awareness and ensure continued development in all aspects of contract management.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

In order to be successful in this role we want you to bring:
