  • Deadline 7 Jun 2024You will work as part of the Digital Resilience in Supply Chains (DReSC) project, which is an interdisciplinary initiative jointly funded by TKI Health~Holland and TKI DINALOG under dcypher's CS4NL program. The project is a collaboration between the University of Twente, the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS), and various publicprivate stakeholders from health care and logistics.
Your work will provide inputs to security managers to decide on efficient interventions for making supply chains secure.

Techniques from economics and operations research, such as game-theoretical analysis and agent-based simulation, can be used to evaluate cybersecurity strategies and identify efficient interventions, acknowledging the autonomy of diverse supply chain parties.

You will also develop guidelines for behavioral interventions that are most efficient in a supply chain setting.


Your profile:

We look for a highly motivated, enthusiastic researcher who is driven by curiosity and has/is:

  • A Master's degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Psychology, Finance, or related disciplines;
  • Some affinity with phenomena, themes and other issues connected to game theory, principalagent theory, behavioral economics, economic psychology, interaction of psychology and economics;
  • The willingness to connect several of the disciplines mentioned to provide practical recommendations not only to science, but also, or even first and foremost, to society;
  • A good team spirit and feels comfortable in an interdisciplinary and internationally oriented environment;
  • Able to do independent research and willing to develop writing and publication skills;
  • A strong passion and outstanding skills in model design;
  • Excellent communication skills and command of the English language.

  • Gross monthly salary of € 2.770 in the first year, increasing each year up to € 3.539 in the fourth year;
